Heaviness
A millstone hung,
On my neck slung.
Easy burden,
Nothing sudden
About easy
As I'm queasy
Of lost passion.
Dark consumption
Of the base grind,
Unethused mind.
For the day came,
I missed His Name.
The lesson learned,
Another earned;
That passion must
From Him sought first
As the day dawns,
And life reborn.
