The Fly
If men had their way and sentiments became law
Then the common housefly would exist for the splat.
Even now they live such short lives
But who can deny with what fervor they fly.
To and fro sucking marrow to the dregs
As if aware that blackness must soon pass.
How different are we really,
From the common housefly?
We suck life less but die as quick.
