No Virtue in Restless Labor

Stayin' awake to get more done
Is tomorrow to have less won.
To burn the midnight oil in extended toil
Is to have less wick for the next day's broil.

So do not pay today, what tomorrow is due
For then what's required will much do accrue.
Suffice is the sweat for this day's bread
After which repose in grace's warm bed.
